What This Position is All About:
Under the direction of Assistant General Manager. Merchandise, the Art Advisor, is an exceptional salesperson who provides outstanding customer service and excels in developing strong, long-lasting client relationships. The Art Advisor will drive the business by providing expert knowledge on the Saks Fifth Avenue Art Collection and is responsible for training and education of other SFA Associates. They will have a background in Art history and have knowledge on present day art market, collecting and specific art movements.

You Also Have:
- A background in or are currently studying Art History
- Associate's degree and one year of experience, or combination of experience and/or education
- Exhibits exceptional communication skills and is able to speak confidently and intelligently about the collection.
- The ability to work effectively within a team and utilize resources to accomplish goals.
As The Art Advisor, You Will:
- Maintain thorough understanding of our current collection in order to best articulate relevant artistic concepts to clients and other SFA associates.
- Builds familiarity with current collections around NYC, and other galleries, in order to best assist our team and inform customers.
- Identifies themselves as a resource for any questions about the collection and artists.
- Creates a welcoming and engaging experience that is inclusive to all clients
- Consistently meet and exceed sales plans
- Establish and develop clientele base
- Maintain and gain the knowledge and expertise on the collection we offer (Product Knowledge) and share that knowledge throughout the store
- Collaborate with Saks Leadership and our corporate partners to maximize sales opportunities through consultative selling and clienteling
- Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

Salary and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between [$20.31 - 25.39 per hour]. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
